SelfPubEmpire, LLC ("SelfPubEmpire," "we," "us," or "our") offers digital content and subscription services through our family of brands, including SelfPubEmpire (selfpubempire.com), Boiled Down Basics (boileddownbasics.com), KSquare Magazine (ksquaremag.com), and Senior Dummies' Guides.
Because our products are entirely digital — including blog articles, podcast content, book summaries, online courses, literary publications, technology guides, and downloadable resources — subscribers receive immediate access to content upon payment. This Refund Policy explains our no-refund policy and the limited exceptions that may apply.
Subscription Plans
SelfPubEmpire offers the following monthly subscription tiers, which provide access to content across all of our brands:

All paid subscriptions are billed monthly in U.S. dollars (USD) and automatically renew at the end of each billing cycle unless you cancel before the renewal date.
No-Refund Policy
All subscription payments are non-refundable. When you subscribe to a paid tier, you receive instant access to that tier's full content library across all SelfPubEmpire brands, including downloadable resources. Because the value of a digital subscription is delivered immediately at the time of purchase, we do not offer refunds, partial refunds, or prorated credits for unused portions of a billing cycle.
By subscribing to a paid plan, you acknowledge and agree that you are purchasing access to digital content and that no refund will be issued once payment is processed.
Exceptions
We will issue a refund only in the following limited circumstances:

Duplicate charges — If you were charged more than once for the same billing period, we will refund the duplicate payment in full.

Billing error — If you were charged after successfully canceling your subscription before the renewal date, we will refund the erroneous charge.

Extended service unavailability — If the website or subscription content was substantially unavailable for an extended period during your billing cycle due to an issue on our end, we may issue a full or partial refund at our discretion.

We will review your request and respond within 5 business days. If your refund is approved, it will be processed to your original payment method. Please allow 5–10 business days for the refund to appear on your statement, depending on your financial institution.
Cancellation vs. Refund
Canceling your subscription and requesting a refund are separate actions:

Cancellation stops future billing. You retain access to your paid tier's content — across all SelfPubEmpire brands — through the end of your current billing period. After that, your account reverts to the Bronze (Free) tier.

Refund returns a payment already made. Because all payments are non-refundable under normal circumstances, canceling is the appropriate action if you no longer wish to be billed.
You can cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings on the website or by emailing support@selfpubempire.com. No refund is required to cancel.
Free Content and the Bronze Tier
The Bronze tier is free and does not require payment. There is nothing to refund for the Bronze tier. If you cancel a paid subscription, you will automatically revert to the Bronze tier and retain access to all free content across all SelfPubEmpire brands.
Chargebacks
We encourage you to contact us directly before initiating a chargeback or dispute with your bank or payment provider. We are committed to resolving billing concerns fairly and promptly. Filing a chargeback without first contacting us may result in suspension of your account.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Services after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
